STUDENT CARE TEAM

 

The mission of the Student Care Team is to provide early intervention and support for students in crisis or who have been referred for exhibiting concerning behavior that does not indicate a direct threat to the CSU community.  The  multidisciplinary team meets weekly throughout the academic year and is designed to promote an efficient sharing of information and coordinate resources with the goal of providing the best practical support for students in need.  Members often take an active role with students by reaching out and providing support and/or intervention based on their areas of expertise.

BEHAVIORAL THREAT ASSESSMENT & MANAGEMENT TEAM

The mission of the Behavioral Threat Assessment & Management (BTAM) Team is to identify, assess, and manage threatening behavior to prevent negative impacts to the university community. The purpose of the BTAM Team is to improve the campus community’s safety through a proactive, multidisciplinary, coordinated and objective approach to situations that pose or may reasonably pose a threat to the safety and well-being of the campus community (i.e., students, faculty, staff and visitors). The BTAM Team assesses and analyzes potentially threatening situations and then develops and implements or recommends management plans.
